Young Laureates Hybrid Program blends the flexibility of homeschooling with the structure, rigor, and community of a private, accredited hybrid school — dedicated to developing scholars prepared for college, leadership, and lifelong excellence.

We proudly serve students and families who prioritize education. Young Laureates is intentionally designed for learners who value academic growth, respect the learning environment, and rise to high expectations with curiosity and commitment.

Our year-round schedule — six-week learning sessions followed by one-week breaks — provides consistent academic momentum and eliminates summer learning loss. Students stay engaged, supported, and progressing all year long.

Designed for homeschooled students seeking strong academics, creativity, and belonging, Young Laureates fosters independence and intellectual curiosity within a culturally rich, village-centered community. Here, students are free to be themselves while learning in an environment grounded in respect, focus, and purpose.

How It Works

Flexible Attendance Options
1. Full-Time Learners: Monday–Friday schedule with
  - 3 instructional days (core academics)
  - 1 Enrichment Monday focused on collaborative projects and applied learning
  - 1 Friday STEAM & Electives Day featuring Robotics, STEAM Lab, Physical Education, Arts and Craft, and more.
2. Part-Time Learners: Three instructional days per week focused on core academics and small-group collaboration.
3. Enrichment Learners: One or Two enrichment days per week focused on supplemental workshops and classes.
4. Kindergarten through Second: Two instructional days, including Monday enrichment.
Student-Centered Learning
Young Laureates is designed for motivated learners. With focused instruction and individualized support, students work at and above grade level throughout the year. Many scholars make significant academic gains — with some advancing more than one grade level — while our educators guide, challenge, and celebrate each learner’s progress.

What “Self-Directed Learning” Means at Young Laureates

At Young Laureates, “self-directed” does not mean students are left on their own. It means they are taught to take increasing ownership of their learning while receiving steady guidance, structure, and encouragement. Each learner follows a personalized curriculum and learning plan designed to meet core academic goals and expand their curiosity through enrichment and advanced study.

A Focused, Respectful, Scholar-Ready Environment

We proudly serve families and students who value education. To protect a calm, productive learning environment, we maintain clear behavioral expectations. Young Laureates is not a fit for students with ongoing behavioral issues or for families who do not prioritize education.
A safe, respectful, and distraction-free environment ensures that every scholar can learn at a high level and take full advantage of our program.

Structured Foundations

Core academics—such as grammar, math, and reading—are completed during focused two-hour learning blocks each day. This structure allows time for small-group workshops, one-on-one support, and advanced projects that challenge students to work at and above grade level.

Individualized Support

Every student begins with diagnostic assessments to identify strengths, needs, and learning goals. Quarterly student conferences allow us to review progress, set new goals, and identify the next challenge or area of exploration, ensuring steady growth for motivated learners.

Academic Growth with Purpose

Students read one novel each month and engage in discussions, essays, and oral reviews that strengthen analytical thinking, writing fluency, and confident expression.
Younger scholars build foundational literacy skills through read-alouds, guided discussion, and sentence-to-paragraph writing workshops.
By grades 5 and up, students participate in peer reading groups, Socratic-style discussions, journaling, and begin preparing for research-level writing by year’s end.

Our Goal

By the end of the school year, every Young Laureate should demonstrate greater independence, ownership, and pride in their work—culminating in a year-end project that reflects their growth as a scholar, creator, and thinker.

Small Group Learning

With an average 1:8 student-to-guide ratio, scholars collaborate, problem-solve, and grow in a focused, supportive environment. Small groups allow for individualized instruction, meaningful discussion, and hands-on learning that challenges students to work at and above grade level.

Accreditation

Young Laureates is fully accredited through the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC) as a Non-Traditional Education Center. Our program exceeds the state-required 810 hours of annual instruction and maintains rigorous academic standards aligned with our college-bound mission.

Attendance & Flexibility

Attendance is recorded for internal documentation, but it is not used punitively. Families retain the freedom and flexibility that define homeschooling while benefiting from the structure and accountability of an accredited academic program.

Assessment & Readiness

Standardized testing is offered each May to measure academic progress and ensure students are prepared for the next level of study. Combined with diagnostic assessments and quarterly conferences, this gives families a clear picture of each scholar’s growth and readiness.

📅 Our Year-Round Schedule

Young Laureates follows a six-weeks-on, one-week-off year-round calendar designed to balance academic rigor with family flexibility.
Our school year begins in August and concludes in June, with dedicated time for Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks.

This rhythm gives students and families time to rest, travel, and reset while maintaining consistent learning momentum.
