Our program runs from late July to the end of the season. We're committed to providing a comprehensive and enriching experience for our young participants.
What does C.I.R.C.U.I.T stand for?
Our team’s name, C.I.R.C.U.I.T, stands for 'Cultivating Intellectual Resilience and Creativity Using Innovative Technologies.' This mouthful of an acronym reflects our commitment to helping students develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through hands-on robotics activities. By using innovative technologies, students learn to overcome challenges and find creative solutions.

What do they do?
F.L.L. Challenge
Real-World Problem-Solving: Each year, we participate in the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge, tackling a new real-world scientific or technological problem.
Robot Design and Programming: We design, build, and program robots to complete missions related to the season's theme.
Developing STEAM Skills
Hands-On Learning: Our program provides a fun and engaging way to learn about science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).
Essential Skills: Students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Becoming Innovators
Research and Development: We research the annual FLL theme and develop innovative solutions to the presented challenges.
Showcase Ideas: Students present their ideas and solutions to judges at the FLL competitions.
Embracing Core Values
Teamwork and Collaboration: We foster a supportive and collaborative environment where students work together to achieve their goals.

While our FLL team is for ages 8 - 14, we offer a introduction to coding class for ages 5+ that meets weekly.
What to Expect?
Coding Practice
Simple Coding Activities: Provide age-appropriate coding activities or games that can be done on a computer or tablet.
Coding Resources: Offer online resources or tutorials for parents and siblings to explore coding together.
LEGO Spike Essentials
Introductory Sessions: Provide hands-on sessions to introduce students to the LEGO Spike platform and its capabilities.
Guided Projects: Offer guided projects using LEGO Spike to help students learn basic coding and robotics concepts.
Open Exploration: Allow students to explore and experiment with LEGO Spike independently, fostering creativity and problem-solving.
Preparing for Future FLL Participation
Shadowing the Team: Our C.I.R.C.U.I.T Robotics team will have a day where they assist with the coding class. They will also demonstrate their competition run during a coding session so students can see what they can work towards.
Skill Development: Focus on developing essential skills like problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork, which are crucial for FLL participation and/or coding and engineering in general.
