We believe in education that inspires courage, nurtures community, and fuels growth. We are committed to providing engaging, student-centered learning experiences that support scholars in reaching their fullest potential—academically, creatively, and socially.
We envision a world where every one of our children are given the space to explore, the confidence to lead, and the tools to thrive without prejudice or stereotype.
Founded in 2024 by Quatavia Wilkins-Johnson and Torri McHellen, Young Laureates began with a simple but powerful truth: our children deserve more. More spaces where they feel seen. More opportunities to lead with confidence. More communities that reflect their brilliance, culture, and joy.
What we couldn't find, we created. Outside the Atlanta area, there were few places where Black homeschool families could gather, connect, and grow together—without having to leave parts of themselves behind. So we built a space where identity is honored, community is central, and learning is a celebration.
From those early days rooted in culture and connection, Young Laureates has grown into a thriving hybrid program that offers something rare: a self-directed, student-centered learning environment where every child is reminded daily that they are capable, creative, and worthy of being known.
We didn’t just imagine something different—we built it. And we continue to grow, not just in size, but in purpose. Because for us, this isn’t just about education. It’s about legacy, joy, and creating a world where our children walk in fully and boldly as themselves.
We encourage students to be bold, curious, and fearless in their learning. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and we provide the support to help students tackle them with confidence.
Every child’s learning journey is unique. We create a welcoming and inclusive environment that values diversity, curiosity, and culture.
We provide the tools, support, and opportunities for students to take ownership of their education, whether through structured academics, hands-on projects, or enrichment experiences.
Young Laureates isn’t just a place to learn—it’s a place to become.
