President & Secretary (Interim): Tiffiny Johnson MS

With over 15 years as a senior technical writer in cybersecurity, Tiffiny brings exceptional technical expertise and clear communication skills to Young Laureates Inc. As a homeschooling parent of over a decade, she is deeply committed to creating a thriving and enriching learning environment for Black homeschooled children. Tiffiny's academic background in World History, coupled with her extensive leadership experience as a senior technical writer, provides a strong foundation for supporting our directors and advancing Young Laureates Inc.’s mission. 

Educational Advisor: Ty McHellen Ph.D. 

Tymura’s extensive background, spanning over 15 years, in sociology and criminology, coupled with their current role as an HBCU professor, equips them with invaluable insights into educational equity and social justice issues impacting Black students. Holding a Ph.D. in Sociology, their deep commitment to higher education makes them a crucial asset to Young Laureates Inc.’s mission. 

Treasurer: Sherry McFarland

Sherry's unwavering dedication to Young Laureates Inc. shines through their generous donor support. Their extensive experience in the medical field brings valuable organizational and problem-solving skills to our team. We are incredibly grateful for Sherry's constant support and commitment to our mission.


Board Member: Jasmine Rich

Jasmine's background in sociology, coupled with years of dedicated service in alternative education, provides a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by underserved students. Their commitment to creating equitable learning environments aligns perfectly with Young Laureates Inc.’s mission. 

Young Laureates Inc. is fortunate to have an active Board of Directors who play a vital role in guiding our organization. While the day-to-day operations are managed by our dedicated Executive Directors, our Board members provide invaluable insights and strategic direction. They actively participate in program development, event planning, and identifying fundraising opportunities, ensuring the long-term sustainability and success of Young Laureates Inc.

Quatavia holds a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Combining over a decade of experience in project management and payroll analysis with her school and counseling office background, Quatavia brings a distinctive blend of financial acumen and educational insight to Young Laureates Inc. Her personal journey as a homeschooling parent for more than ten years deepens her commitment to our mission.

Torri's educational background in early childhood development and elementary education, combined with their experience as a classroom teacher and homeschool parent, positions them perfectly to oversee Young Laureates Inc.'s programmatic initiatives.
